The movie takes place 10 years before the events of the first film. The story follows Ari (Michael Copon), a young warrior who becomes the new Scorpion King. Ari is on a quest to avenge his father's death and unite the thirteen tribes of Azania. He faces off against the evil warlord, Sorrell Raskol (Simon Quarterman), who seeks to conquer Azania.
