The film picks up where the first installment left off, with the Perron family - Carolyn (Andrea Riseborough) and her daughters Andrea (Shanley Caswell) and Christie (Joey King) - still reeling from the traumatic events at their farmhouse. However, their respite is short-lived, as they soon find themselves at the center of a new, more sinister supernatural threat.
