The film follows Lulu (played by Melanie Griffith), a woman in her 30s who returns to her hometown after a period of self-exile. Lulu tries to reconnect with her roots and rebuild her relationships with her family and friends. As she navigates her past and present, Lulu must confront her personal demons and find a new sense of purpose.
