Muhammad al-Shawi (1912-1995) was a Moroccan Islamic scholar, author, and educator. He was born in the city of Oujda, Morocco, and studied Islamic sciences at the University of Al-Karaouine in Fez. Al-Shawi was known for his expertise in Quranic exegesis, Hadith, and Islamic jurisprudence. He wrote several influential books on Islam, including Tafsir al-Shawi, which is considered one of his magnum opus.
