The movie follows their misadventures as they try to purchase liquor for a party, with the help of a fake ID and a series of mishaps. Along the way, they encounter a series of quirky characters, including a bumbling police officer (Rogen), a eccentric convenience store clerk (Bill Hader), and a beautiful but elusive girl (Emma Stone).
