Formed in 2009, Rival Sons gained rapid recognition for their energetic live performances and distinctive sound, which draws inspiration from classic rock, blues, and soul music. The band's original lineup consisted of Jay Buchanan (lead vocals, guitar), Scott Holiday (lead guitar), Mike Cooley (bass), and Bryan Sammis (drums). After signing with RCA Records, the band began working on their debut album, "Pressure and Time," which was produced by Mark Ronson and Dave Sardy.
