The film takes place approximately 10 years after the events of "Planeta dos Macacos - A Evolução." The story follows Caesar (Andy Serkis), the intelligent and charismatic leader of the genetically enhanced apes, who has established a thriving community in the Redwood Forest. As Caesar's ape community flourishes, a human settlement, led by the ruthless and cunning Koba (Toby Kebbell), emerges from the ruins of San Francisco.
