Resident Evil 5 takes place in 2009, 10 years after the events of Resident Evil 4. Chris Redfield, now working for the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance), is tasked with investigating a bioterrorism threat in Africa. He soon teams up with Sheva Alomar, a BSAA agent from Africa, to uncover the truth behind a mysterious threat that has been terrorizing the local population.
