Upon arrival, Oscar's silver shoes take him to the Emerald City, where he meets a beautiful sorceress named Glinda, played by Michelle Williams. She tells Oscar that he is prophesied to defeat the Wicked Witch of the West, played by Rachel Weisz, and that he is now the great and powerful wizard of Oz.
