The series begins with astronaut John Robinson (Max Jenkins), his wife Maureen (Mina Sundwall), and their children, Judy (Taylor Momsen), and Mark (Joshua Rush), who are part of a mission to colonize a new planet. However, their journey takes a dramatic turn when their spaceship, the Jupiter 2, is attacked by a robot from a hostile planet. The family is forced to make an emergency landing on a nearby planet, where they must survive and navigate the dangers of space.
