The rise of online piracy has become a pressing concern for the film industry, with numerous movies being illegally downloaded and shared on various platforms. This paper examines the phenomenon of illicit film downloading, using the case study of the Tamil movie "Kaththi" and its alleged fixed download on the notorious website "Kuttymovies". The study aims to understand the motivations behind such actions, the impact on the film industry, and the measures that can be taken to curb this menace.
