As the days pass, Pi and Richard Parker form an unlikely bond, with Pi using his knowledge of animal behavior to keep himself and the tiger alive. The film's narrative is presented in a non-linear fashion, with an adult Pi (played by Irrfan Khan) recounting his story to a pair of Japanese investigators.
