The film revolves around a young couple, Josh (Doug McGrath) and Mia (Annabelle Wallis), who are expecting their first child. They live in a small apartment in Los Angeles, where they begin to experience strange and terrifying events. One night, a mysterious antique doll, Annabelle, arrives at their doorstep, and they soon discover that the doll is possessed by the spirit of a young girl named Annabelle Higgins, who was brutally murdered in the 1960s.
