"Farewell, Lenin!" is a 2003 German comedy film directed by Wolfgang Becker. The movie is set in East Germany in the months leading up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. It tells the story of a mother, Christiane, who, after a long coma, wakes up to find that her son, Alex, has grown up in East Germany without her.
