"1001 Arabian Nights", also known as "One Thousand and One Nights" or "The Arabian Nights", is a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian stories compiled in the 14th century. The stories are framed within a narrative about a young woman named Scheherazade, who tells a series of stories to her husband, King Shahryar, to delay her execution.
